UPnP Forum holds regular Forum Summits where members share information and conduct Forum business. In addition, quarterly Forum-wide Plugfests test interoperability of Devices.

• International CES 2012

• International Conference on Consumer Electronics

  The International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), presented by the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society, is where key technologies, products, services and architectures for consumer entertainment and information delivery are first presented.
   
  Part of the conference program, UPnP Forum Steering Committee member, Wouter van der Beek, is set to deliver a tutorial on how UPnP technology works and how AV is constructed. As well as being on the Steering Committee, Wouter is the UPnP Compliance Committee Chair. He is a Software Architect and Standardization Manager at Philips, where he is the main representative of Philips TV in UPnP Forum and the DLNA. Wouter’s tutorial, named “UPnP AV, the technology basis of DLNA”, will place a spotlight on DLNA and its activity in home networking standards. The session will also explore SSDP, GENA and SOAP, AV DCPs and end user cases, as well as DLNA guidelines for UPnP AV DCPs.
